Soldiers from the Army Reserve 389th Engineer Company from Des Moines, Iowa, work on a troop draft June 21, 2022, at Camp Courage on South Post in Fort McCoy, Wis.

The company worked on several projects to improve the camp during its 2022 annual formation, including installing new metal cladding on many buildings.

Troop projects are coordinated by the Fort McCoy Public Works Branch and help improve the facility’s infrastructure while providing training for Army engineer units.

Fort McCoy’s motto is “Total Force Training Center”. Located in the heart of the Upper Midwest, Fort McCoy is the only US Army installation in Wisconsin.

The installation has provided support and facilities for the field and classroom training of more than 100,000 service members of all services nearly every year since 1984.
