This year the congress, which runs until June 19, will offer a comprehensive overview of the theme: New Technologies and Innovations in the Dairy Industry . It will focus on topics such as how to improve the viability of the dairy industry through process development via new membrane technologies and continuous production methods. There will also be an in-depth look at innovation and its importance for the sustainability of dairy processing and quality control.

GEA will contribute with two seminars at the Conference:


Process Engineering Manager Steffen Jahnke, from GEA Niro Soavi Deutchland, will hold a seminar on High Efficiency Homogenization Technology in the Dairy Industry . Mr Jahnke holds a degree in Mechanical Dispersion Technique and Automation from the Technical University of Dresden and has worked in process re-engineering since 1984. This seminar takes place on Saturday, June 19 between 11:00 and 12:30.

Process Design Engineer Ejnar Refstrup, from GEA Niro, will hold a seminar on The Sticking Properties of Milk-Based Powders and the Influence on Processing Parameters. Mr Refstrup holds a PhD in Dairy Science from the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University in Copenhagen, Denmark, and has worked with GEA Niro since 1970. This seminar takes place on Saturday, June 19 between 14:00 and 15:00.


GEA Niro Soavi will support the Congress with NanoVALVE, to show the high efficiency homogenizing valve for liquid processing and dairy products up to 250 bar.
