For fine foods processing, GEA Niro Soavi has developed the OpenXFLO™ block concept for high pressure homogenizer, a very good example of application of the NiSoCLEAN design know-how.
The patented OpenXFLOTM compression block (EPO 2040828) is a specific homogenizer configuration which allows a free fluid flow of liquid products with agglomerated fibers, solids pieces and high viscosity without any accumulation or clogging, thanks to its dead-end free design. The machine can handle inclusions of particles of up to one centimetre in diameter or length, according to their concentration in the liquid phase, type and hardness.
With such a machine design, it is therefore possible to process through the high pressure homogenizer a wider variety of products and at the same time improve the efficiency of CIP by means of flush wetted surfaces and of elimination of dead-ends.
GEA Niro Soavi NiSoCLEAN advanced homogenizer design concept is completed with the use of special gaskets, approved and certified for contact with foodstuff and pharmaceutical products, assembled with specific flush mounted housings combining clean ability with lifetime performance under pressure.
