Homogenization and Pump Testing
Pilot plant facilities are available in Hudson, WI and Parma, Italy, to test the operating characteristics of GEA Niro Soavi homogenizers and pumps on new products, or to improve existing processing by using the latest designs.
Pilot scale testing may serve several objectives:
- Investigating whether a product can be produced according to the customer's requirements / specification

Providing our sales division with basic data for scale-up to industrial size

Production of samples for the further investigation by the customer

Small scale production of material for market analysis, approval etc.

Process or equipment development
Before the test work can begin, the customer will, in co-operation with the Niro sales engineer and test engineer, agree upon the pilot plant size and configuration to be used. Product requirements and safety aspects of product handling also need to be clarified. Finally a test date or period must be agreed upon.
Process Evaluation & Machine Selection
Based upon testing and extensive industrial engineering experience, GEA Niro Soavi North America can advise customers and recommend optimum solutions for homogenizing and pumping applications in dairy & food, chemical, pharmaceutical, biotech and cosmetic industries.
Machine Delivery, Installation & Commissioning
Punctuality of delivery is essential to today's business, and GEA Niro Soavi follows the best traditions of the GEA Group in this respect. GEA Niro Soavi North America accept responsibility for machine installation, if requested, and provide close supervision.
Training
GEA Niro Soavi North America offers extensive training on the operation and maintenance of GEA Niro Soavi high pressure homogenizer and pumps.
